(HSCR 281-00)  Suspends driver's license for 6 months, requires 20 hours of
            community service if an underage person violates liquor
            laws.  (HB2317 HD1)

HB 2423        RELATING TO TOBACCO PRODUCTS REPORT                 HLT, JHA
(HSCR 141-00)  Establishes a reporting requirement to enforce a state law
            that requires tobacco product manufacturers who sell tobacco
            products in the State to deposit certain amounts into escrow
            based on the number of cigarettes sold.

HB 2513        RELATING TO UNCLAIMED CORPSES                       HSH, JHA
(HSCR 362-00)  Allows the department to authorize cremation of unclaimed
            corpses.

HB 2557        RELATING TO OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH          LAB, JHA
(HSCR 329-00)  The purpose of this bills is NOT to prevent disclosure, but
            rather to facilitate disclosure of records to the public
            while still protecting the rights of individuals to privacy;
            ensuring that workers have safe and healthful workplaces and
            preserving the mission of the division; and to preserve
            scarce state resources for protection of life and health.
            Clarifies when and what records may be disclosed to the
            public for civil cases.

HB 2774        RELATING TO DISCRIMINATION IN PUBLIC PLACES         LAB, JHA

 
(HSCR 469-00)  Makes it discriminatory to attempt to deny the full and
            equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities,
            privileges, advantages, and accommodations of a place of
            public accommodations to a woman because she is

            provisions to federal regulations.

HB 1899 HD1    RELATING TO THE STATEWIDE TRAFFIC CODE              TRN, JHA
(HSCR 66-00)   Requires vehicles approaching a crosswalk from either
            direction to stop when a pedestrian has entered upon it.

HB 1881 HD1    RELATING TO USE OF INTOXICANTS                      TRN, JHA
(HSCR 70-00)   Amends driving impaired statutes to consolidate and conform
            offenses relating to operating a vehicle while using an
            intoxicant.  Makes conforming amendments.

HB 1157 HD1    RELATING TO THE MEDICAL USE OF MARIJUANA        HLT/PSM, JHA
(HSCR 605)     Allows for the acquisition, possession, cultivation,
            distribution, transportation, administration, and use of
            marijuana for medical purposes. (HB1157 HD1)

HB 1837        RELATING TO ABUSE OF FAMILY OR HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS         JHA
            Creates three new classes of offenses for abuse of family or
            household members; authorizes police to order person to
            leave premises if officer has reasonable grounds to believe
            infliction of abuse is imminent; repeals current law on
            abuse of family or household members, section 709-906, HRS.

HB 1838        RELATING TO DOMESTIC ABUSE PROTECTIVE ORDERS             JHA
            Amends definition of "family or household members" to
            include persons in dating relationships; defines "dating
            relationships"; extends effective time of TROs to 180 days;
            requires courts to issue protective orders for minimum
            period of 5 years; authorizes longer extension period for
            protective orders.

HB 1841        RELATING TO PROBATION                                    JHA
            Authorizes probation officers to inform domestic violence
            victims, their parents, or immediate family when defendant
            violates probation or when probation officers have
            information relating to victim's safety and welfare.

HB 1843        RELATING TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE                            JHA
            Extends from 24 to 48 hours the time in which a police
            officer may order a person to leave the premises of a
            domestic violence incident.  Allows for a person arrested
            for domestic violence to be held after posting a bail bond
            for up to 48 hours if certain conditions are met.


 
 
HB 1845        RELATING TO CRIME                                        JHA
            Establishes interference with the reporting of an emergency
